M30 Luftwaffe Survival Drillings
I am a new member, but a long time collector. My interest now is the gathering of information on the M-30 Luft. Drillings. The biggest challange I face is trying to locate photos of Luftwaffe personel handling the M-30's. Have pictures of luftwaffe personel with Over/Under's and double barrel's. There was a picture, a number of years ago, showing an interned He 111 in Switzerland with all the equipment form inside the aircraft displayed in front of it to include a cased M-30.
If any members have some picture on the subject and would like to share them I would be eternally gratefull. Bob Cutler wafdietz@aol.com |

Re: M30 Luftwaffe Survival Drillings
This is a "survival" double barrelled hunting gun bored 12 gauge on one barrel, and 9.3X74R for the other one. It was part of the on-board equipment on bombers in the Luftwaffe. Look there for photos:

In Polish it might be treble, but in German it is Drillinge! Bob |

![]() A superb collection Robert, especially where you have the complete Waffenkoffer with paperwork and 'accessories'. I have only ever seen one of these weapons and that was approximately twelve years ago, without any of it's bits and pieces!
I am sure that there are many LW enthusiasts out there who never knew about these until you introduced the subject here. Any chance of readable close-ups of any labels or loose paperwork? Regards, David |

Re: M30 Luftwaffe Survival Drillings
Sauer&Sohn are still in bussiness. The "Drilling" is one of the famest German Huntingweapon and was also the service Rifle by most of the German Forrest Officals (German word: Förster). And, Hermann was also "Reichsjägermeister".
