Two Lufwaffe losses 24 April 1943

I'm searching more details/confirmation of the two following losses:

Do 18 D-3 WNr 740 of Waffenschule (See) lost by accident in the Baltic, crew OK ?

Ju 88 A-4 3Z+AV of KG 77 destroyed at 90% on take-off from Montpellier, France, due to engine failure. Crew survived, some with wounds.

Thanks in advance

Laurent

I have the Do 18 as repaired from its 24.4.1943 accident and issued to Beobachterschule 4 where it was finally written off on 27.4.1944

Cheers
Stig

Re: Two Lufwaffe losses 24 April 1943

Thanks a lot, Stig

Any indication of its final fate ? Was it just written off due to age in 1944, or did it crash ?

Hallo Laurent

The list says crashed so at least to me it indicates a more violent end than just being scrapped.

You can check out the site at http://www.histaviation.com/Dornier_Do_18.html

A quite nice homepage

Cheers
Stig
