When did the Axis last bomb Malta?
When did the Axis last bomb Malta? Presumably the Italians stopped bombing Malta after they changed sides in September 1943 but did the Germans bomb the island 1943-45?
Whoops - sorry 'Moderators' this should have been in the Luftwaffe section

From 'Malta, Diary of a War 1940-1945' by Michael Galea, ISBN 99909-0-029-9:
"1943 Sunday 25 July. Enemy aircraft make sharp raids on the island. Heavy barrage of fire. Three enemy Ju 88s and a He 111 shot down." "Friday 30 July. A raid sounded when a large formation of aircraft approached the island. Heavy barrage put up."
