Luftwaffe over Poland 1939 pt1 and 2 by M.Emmerling.

Hi folks,
Im particularly interested in these 2 books at the present moment, and wonder if anybody can share any thoughts or offer any recommendations.
The books are published by Armagedon and the isbn no. 918106-4-x the author
is Marius Emmerling.

I was also curious as to whether it could be purchased in the uk?

RGS,
Steve.

Well, those books are the only ones available on the subject! I cannot say for the bomber book but the fighter book is not very good. Loss lists are 60%+ only with translated places, preparing a more complete loss list requires a lot of reading. Research itself is quite sloppy, sometimes author draws conclusions from rather vague data. I would not recommend to rely solely on this book.

Hi Steve,

for me this books are really OK. The loss lists are almost completly with only few gaps (a lack of origin documents). There are also some personally accounts even in Prien series there are not present. The German victory claims are also good researched.

Regards

Robert

This 'good research' is more a wishful thinking. The article about III/4 Dywizjon prooved it too much.
