Many thanks
Was this unit a ferry unit? Would this be Uffz. Wagenleitthner's role? Rick |

Re: Information concerning uffz. Wilhelm Wagenleithner - 19.11.1944
3./Fl.ÜG 1 Süd was indeed a ferry unit. Flugzeugüberführungsgruppe 1. There are several abbreviations for this unit name which appear in loss reports which exist through 1944. Unlike the Verbande material losses, the 'Flugzeugunfälle und Verluste bei Schulen und sonstigen Dienststellen' material loss records due exist through Sep-44. The Nord/Süd and whatever do not appear with the unit name. At least I don't recall having seen any yet.
