239 Wing RAF abbreviations
Hi everybody,
Can anyone please tell me what TRG and TRP mean in relation to ground targets destroyed or damaged by squadrons in 239 Wing. Used in 1945 in the Italian campaign. Similar to MT meaning Motor Transport or HDT meaning Horse Drawn Transport. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Doug Norrie |

Re: 239 Wing RAF abbreviations
These refer to train targets. (TR)
TRG means Goods "Trucks", i.e. freight cars. TRP means Passenger Coaches. Other codes you may see: TRN - complete train with engine, MET mechanical transport. Here is a link (look at "book" pages 107 - 108) http://www.scribd.com/doc/87281269/2...NAISSANCE-CODE Last edited by RSwank; 21st April 2012 at 20:40. |
