15 October 1940: S.79 shot down over Yemen

On 15 October 1940 Sottotenente Italo Gherardini of 44° Gruppo was killed when his S.79 was shot down by a RAF Blenheim over Ras al Arah, Yemen.

I would like to know the full crew list (names and fate) of this bomber. The serial number will be an unexpected bonus.

Thanks in advance

Laurent

Courtesy Google :
Gazzetta Ufficiale del Regno d'Italia N. 274 del 20 Novembre 1941

Not sure, only guesswork :
CECILIOT Gastone primo aviere armiere
GRANDI Ennio primo aviere marconista
PETRUCCI Romolo sergente maggiore pilota (secondo pilota).

Thanks and a good source that I did not know about.

By the way the link for the above airmen is: http://augusto.digitpa.gov.it/gazzet.../id/1941274_P1

And the post above is citing airmen being awarded "Medaglia d'Argento", the following page continues with awards of "Medaglia di Bronzo" and cites one more airman with date 15 Octobere 1940 and place Ras el Ara:
Aviere Ottavio Coronati.

There are also several names linked to Aden 13 October 1940, and so I will probably be able to identify the two men of Gheradini crew killed on this date.

The link for Gheradini himself is : http://augusto.digitpa.gov.it/gazzet.../id/1941244_P1

By the way I have also checked the book "Dust clouds in the middle east", that gives no idea about the crew names.

Thanks again
