Nightfighter claims 23/10/44
Hello,
Were there any Nightfighter claims on 23-10-1944? RAF Bomber Command attacked the city of Essen in the Ruhr with more than 1000 a/c. (8 a/c lost) A Lancaster of 12 Squadron (PD-331) exploded in the air at 20.00h near Winterswijk (The Netherlands) Probably Flak?? Regards Karl Lusink |

Yes I know the place to look, and I also couldn't find claims in Theo Boiten/R. Mackenzies book: Nachtjagd War Diaries! I think the Lancaster recieved a direct Flak hit! Thanks Regards Karl Lusink |
