Can someone translate please?

Any German speakers want to take a stab at this phrase? Thank you in advance.

'Infolge Bedienungsgefehler ins Trudeln geraten'

'Due to pilot error.........'

I'll try, though taken out of context it is a bit difficult to know where to put the different words (German is not my mother tongue):

Literally: Cause of Service error move down advice.

"Because of Service error (he was?) adviced to descend" ? or if on a placard, "In case of service error it is advisable to descend and land" ?

Where did you get this passage?

"Due to pilot error the a/c ended up in a spin"

Actually trudeln is a "vrille" but I don't know if that is an english word.

Cheers,

John.

Re: Can someone tranlste please?

John is close,
but I would translate:

Due to handling mistake the a/c went into a spin.

Cheers

Re: Can someone tranlste please?

Due to handling mistake the a/c went into a spin.

is correct, happens when the a/c nose is up (because of low speed) and the left or right wing looses lift and moves down.

Recovery by controls neutral and push rudder to the opposite side-but you need altitude for this!

When this happens at low altitude during approach, it is deadly. We German pilots called this "abschmieren", wellknown to flyers all over the world!

Priceless, thank you Peter!

Pilot slang is always great, love a number of biographies especially for their free use of original terms.
