JG 104 and 106 losses for 14.10.43

Hi,

I'm looking for JG 104 and 106 losses on 14 October 1943, i.e. second Schweinfurt raid.

According to Mr Caldwell book it was one Bf 109F from JG 104 and two Bf 109E from JG 106, but I need Werk Nummers and pilot names.

Re: JG 104 and 106 losses for 14.10.43

Thanks for answer Matti. Could you check for me your database also for ZG 26 (come can be specified as ZG 1 planes) losses on that day?

I found four planes:
Bf 110 G-2 WNr 120011 of III./ZG 26, Ofw Braun Gottlieb KIA, but this plane was not destroyed for sure, because after the war 120011 was left in Norway. So question is for level of destruction and gunner fate.
Bf 110 G-2 WNr 150131 of II./ZG 1, Uffz. Wiechert Max MIA, Uffz. Schröder, Kurt KIA, Question is for location and reason of the loss.
Me 410 A-1 WNr 125 of III/ZG 1 (II/ZG 26), Oblt Wilhelm KIA
Me 410 A-1 WNr 0040 of III/ZG 1 (II/ZG 26), Fw Rosien KIA
Both 410s were shot down and both pilots killed, but three members of II/ZG 26 were killed so question is for name of fallen gunner and full names of the pilots.

Re: JG 104 and 106 losses for 14.10.43

Does anyone have the exact date when III./ZG 1 became II./ZG 26?

Could the date 11.10.1943 still be correct although NVM/WAST seems to record the losses on the 14th on III./ZG 1?

Cheers
Stig
