P-38 crash near Burnley 1 Sept 1942
Hi guys
On 1 September 1942, P-38 41-7669 of 49thFS/14thFG "hit an object in the air" and crashed near Burnley. 2/Lt Lyle L. Williams was killed. Was the "object" a barrage balloon? Cheers Brian |
