Boeing B-17 photo

Hello all! This photo was discovered in a photo album but this image appears to be a press-cutting or something like this, not a private taken photo.

Anyway I appreciate background information about B-17 in this photo if available: plane variant and unit information. Note that there is an “O” letter painted in triangle on a tail (note that both lower corners of this letter are rounded and this feature makes me think that this is not “D” or “B”).

The may be 44-6509 (letter H) from the 457th BG. The BG had a triangle U on the tail and a blue stripe which also seems to be in the picture.

Here is a photo of "167" which shows they did put the last 3 digits of the tail number on the nose. (44-6167).
