Pocket battleship "Admiral Scheer" and friendly fire against 2 Bf109 1945
Hello gentlemen, During a coast shelling on Samland peninsula (East Prussia) on 20.Feb.1945 "Admiral Scheer" shot down his own air cover (2 Bf109). Most interesting are the units involved in that case and in the air cover of German heavy ships in 1945 in whole. But any details are interesting of course, including the fate of the pilots downed on 20.Feb.45. Best regards, Andrey |

Thanks for this, Andrey I can't help with this, although I'm sure information will be forthcoming. Should you know of other friendly fire incidents, I would be keen to learn of same. Cheers Brian |
