1H+CT and 1H+GT 11 may 1944

Hello,

in his book "Die Spur des Löwen", Alexander Steenbeck gives 8 Ju-88 of III/KG26 lost on 11 may 1944 ; for 2 of these planes, no details concerning the crews : 1H+CT WNr 801691 and 1H+GT WNr801593.

In the book of Rudi Schmidt, for this date, are given four crewnames not present in Steenbeck : Ofw Anton Krug, Gefr Heinz Hänsel, Uffz Karl Müller and Gefr Werner Henze.

Can someone tell me at what plane these four names can be attached ? I am also looking for infos on the crew of the other plane.

Thanks in advance

Regards

Claude

Re: 1H+CT and 1H+GT 11 may 1944

Checking Steenbeck he first of all states the correct WNr 801591

Secondly he places the crew of Tiegel etc in aircraft 1H+IT (unknown WNr)

Maybe (I just say maybe) 1H+IT was in fact 1H+GT (or vice versa) and Chris is correct all along?

In such a case total losses that day was only seven aircraft.....

Cheers
Stig

the seven planes lost by KG26 on 11 May fits exactly to a report of Luftflotte 3 you can find in Ultra
