Junkers Ju 52 colors

I'm making a model of the Junkers Ju 52 with labels 1Z + BF CG2 / 4 Balkans in 1941.
What bothers me is that color is painted.

Italeri has suggested RLM 73 RLM 71 RLM 63

When Edward's proposal RLM 70 RLM 71 and RLM 63

I found one of his drawings, RLM 62 RLM 63 and RLM 71

Does anyone can help me, which could be a combination of colors?

Greetings!

Re: Junkers Ju 52 colors

For three-colour uppersurfaces the likeliest combination is the earlier standard of RLM 61, RLM 62, RLM63, but this is usually linked to a large number of different segments along the fuselage. It was replaced by the familiar RLM 70, RLM 71 with fewer segments. Although not specifically noted in any of the standard references, there exist photos showing a slightly simplified scheme using three uppersurface colours and an interim number of segments - usually with the nose in a light shade. This scheme was used on export (Portuguese) Ju 52s and on Romanian He111H-3s. I have seen printed colour photos of the He 111s where the colours appear to have been RLM 70, RLM 71, RLM 63 but have been assured that the originals show RLM 61, RLM 62 and RLM 63.

I would ignore the Italeri suggestion. Until a diligent researcher uncovers more information on this interim scheme I fear there is no way of confirming just what they were.

In the Italeri's instructions leaflets of kit nr. 101 and 126 the suggested scheme is correctly the 70/71/65
