Hi to all, some experts claim it to be the wreck of a G-6 model variant, therefore not a victim of Operation Merkur in 1941 (Battle of Crete).
No details whatsoever are available though, as to the exact cisrcumstances of the loss of this specific Bf109. Any additional info would be more than welcome, in order to solve this WW2 aircraft crash mystery!

According to some experts it an F model variant, while others claim it is a G-6
If it is an F this Bf109 indeed participated in Operation Merkur (battle of Crete, 1941). If it is a G-6, we are seeing a 1943 model variant. This video below offers some good detailed shots of the wreck https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jcD6uzQFnZg

It is not an F-4 which had rounded wheel wells.
