He 162 assembly by Amme Luther Seck?
Hello,
Amme Luther Seck (ALS) did modifications of already completed He 162s in spring 1945. I read that it also got orders to complete He 162 from subassemblies that were delivered to ALS. Did this ever happen? If I look at the known W.Nr. list for the 220xxx block (at least according to Manfred Griehl's book), the highest numbers are 2201xx, but there is quite a large gap between 22003x to 2201xx. Could it be that the aircraft in that block were assembled by ALS? Or was there a real gap where the W.Nrs. were not assigned? Probably difficult questions, but maybe someone has some information. Regards, Roger |
