Many thanks for your response to my enquiry but I have those links. However they do not show cause of death , only "accident ".
Thanks Laurent

Alex,

Eastleigh was bombed on 22 June 1942. See https://catalog.archives.gov/id/7774...ect-thumb--194

The Salisbury Times of 26 June 1942 says that Trevor Jones was "killed by enemy action".

Re: RN Eastleigh fatal accident 22 June 1942

Well found Leendert

The page you provide is the daily summary. On page 200, you have the detailled report saying that 2 Ldg.N.A (my guess Leading Naval Airmen) were killed and third heavily wounded.

The same night Southampton was bombed. Initial reports show 14 killed here (according to book The Blitz then and now vol 3), but CWGC lists 33 civilians killed at Southampton and 5 at Eastleigh that day.
