F/S Wladislaw SZNAPKA - 308 Sqn - shot down 16 Aug 1943

Hello,

I'm seeking info about the pilot F/S Wladislaw SZNAPKA who managed to evade capture after he was shot down 16 Aug 1943 in Bernay rea, Normandy. A/C Spitfire MK.Vb serial W3404. Pilot assigned 308 Squadron.

Anybody on the board have any news about him ?

I would like to know in particular if SZNAPKA is still alive ?

Otherwise, I'm in contact with a member family of his helper when he managed to evade capture and this helper would like to learn more about this polish pilot.

Did SZNAPKA let an account or else....
