LW losses Oranienburg 20.04.1945
41 Sqn claimed 5 Fw190D on this date, in the evening. Does anyone have an idea which LW unit were their opponents?

Re: LW losses Oranienburg 20.04.1945
Hi John,
Worth a shot, but I have 401 Squadron as the victors over 2./JG26 in the late afternoon. 41Sqn met their opponents after 1930. |

Re: LW losses Oranienburg 20.04.1945
Thanks guys,
I don't think Russian. 41 were experienced pilots. IV/JG3 is a good match for time but I think they were flying FW190A, and their opponents were 350 (Belgian) Sqn. Unless they had FW190Ds on strength in which case? I don't know anything about JG4. Were they flying the Fw190D? |

Re: LW losses Oranienburg 20.04.1945
Hi Remi,
Looking into it I find Maximowitz is flying a Dora-9 when he is killed, and that 350 Sqn does not claim "Fw190D" but just "Fw190". I wonder if 350 met 9.JG4, ands that 41 did indeed inflict 3 losses on 14.JG3 and one to 15.JG3? |
