Missing Luftwaffe General
Hello all
Recently I got my hands on Luftwaffe General Cap or so Im told by others. Im very intrested to find out who the owner of this cap was and I have some information to build on but need more. The cap is brown / desert color and has the eagle made with gold thread. It is very worn so there is no information visible inside the cap. The story behind the cap is that was taken from high rank or general POW in africa sometime during the war. I dont have excact date. Does someone know anything about high ranking officers captured in africa. I can post pictures of the cap if someone is intrested to see it. Regarsd Gardar R. Re: Missing Luftwaffe General
Hi,
Concerning the authenticity of the cap I would try the following forums: www.wehrmacht-awards.com http://gmic.co.uk/index.php? You register yourself and wait for the authorization to join both forums but there are some very nice experts on them. About the historical information, mainly conected to the alleged general´s captured, I would recomend the following: http://forum.axishistory.com Good luck, Douglas. |
