What happened to Anton Hackl post-war?
I am drawing a blank on what happened to Anton "Tony" Hackl after the war ended? Books on the Luftwaffe seem to snub him, and all I have been able to gather from the internet is he died in Regensburg on 9 July 1984.
Was he taken and held by the Soviets? Did he serve in the Bundesluftwaffe? Any information would be appreciated. |

Re: What happened to Anton Hackl post-war?
Hi,
Hackl surrendered JG11 to British forces at Leck airfield on 7 May 1945. It's all I have. Regards Thierry |
