Horst Ademeit
Dear All,
First, I've come across a photo of Horst Ademeit wearing something strange, which is definitely NOT a uniform: https://acesofww2.com/germany/aces/ademeit/ Do you happen to know what it is? Some kind of folk costume? If so, from where? Second, was Horst Ademeit married? ;-) Thank you in advance. Last edited by Teresa Maria; 11th August 2019 at 13:08. |

Re: Horst Ademeit
Dear Teresa!
This picture shows Horst Ademeit as student on an university. I think he was member of a "Studentischen Verbindung". Therefor this is a kind of an uniform, too! Herzliche Grüsse aus Oberschwaben, Wolfgang |

Re: Horst Ademeit
Dear Wolfgang,
Thank you very much for your answer. I did not know it was the uniform of a student association. By the way, do you happen to know the answer to my second question too? Best regards, Teresa |

Re: Horst Ademeit
He was born on 8 February 1912, so he was thirty-two when he died. So he wasn't actually too young to get married. However, like all pilots who were killed in action, he was surely too young to die.

Student's cap
Just a small confirmation : this cap on his head is a typical student's cap, frequently seen in Germany and also in Sweden and probably other countries (Norway, Denmark and ???).

Re: Horst Ademeit
Thank you for your comment. Yes, it is off-topic. :-)
However, I wonder if anyone knows the answer to my other question, that is, whether Horst Ademeit was married or not. :-) |
