B-25J 44-29509- 17 TRS - 71 RG - SWPA?
Unless I'm very much mistaken, the metal-finish B-25 in this film clip has serial 44-29509. Plane was used in DDT spraying over polio stricken Rockford, Ill. in late August 1945.
See https://www.criticalpast.com/video/6...radicate-polio or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJs1tlTof_s However, at the same period this 44-29509 reportedly was in use with 17th TRS, 71st RG in the SWPA? Camouflaged and armed? At least, decal firms tell us that much.... Joe Baugher has no info on #509. Info welcome. Regards, Leendert |

Hi Lee. The artwork on the HK Model box-art says 509 but should be 44-29590 "My Buck" flown by Capt. Piazzo (71st TRS) this was in the Philippines late in the war. I think the decal sheet has correct serial. She was camouflaged in line with Fifth AF policy.
