Teodor Zabava
Hi there,
has anybody ever seen a picture of IAR 80 top ace Teodor Zabava ? Michael |

Re: Teodor Zabava
Unfortunately, no photo of Zabava surfaced since I wrote my book on the Rumanian fighter aces, although he is one of the most interesting Rumanian aviators.
I managed to locate his personal file in the Rumanian military archives, but the photo was not attached (i.e., stolen) to the dossier. There are several group photos he is certainly part of, but which one he is it's not know. The search continues...

Re: Teodor Zabava
How sad :-(
I keep hoping. Can you tell me if Zabava has scored all of his confirmed aerial kills in the IAR80 ? Michael |

Re: Teodor Zabava
No, Zabava had a couple of confirmed 'kills' achieved with the Hs 129!

Re: Teodor Zabava
Hello Mr Bernád,
your marvellous "Rumanian Aces of World War 2" implies the following breakdown of Zabava's score (would you be so kind to check?): IAR80: 10+1sh confirmed +2* unconfirmed +1 on the ground Hs129: 1 unconfirmed +3 on the ground *typo on page 94? Looking forward to your answer, Michael |
