Ltn Walter Sievert
Hello,
I was wondering if anyone has more information on Ltn Walter Sievert. Ju88A6 w.n. 521 Stab/KG30 crashed and burnt out by Eindhoven on the 13th of june 1941. Someone stated to me that Ltn Walter Sievert and Bs Uffz. Peter Hansen were both killed, and B Fw Oskar Hauk and Bf Gef Ernst Bergmann were both injured. I traced the grave of Peter Hansen in Ysselsteyn, but I found no trace of Walter Sievert. I can't find out what happened two the two injured men either. I hope someone has some info for me. Thanx |

Re: Ltn Walter Sievert
Hi,
Having originally checked the QM's list for you the entry for 14-6-41 indicated Ltn Siefert as injured to killed , however there is a hand written date next to his name. On checking this which is an admendment dated 23-7-41 it states ' Ltn Sievert nicht tot, sodern verletzt ' so it looks like he survived this crash but was badly injured, Regards Brian Bines |
