Re: Ju 87 losses
Note that the WNr. listed by Rottler are incomplete. They should be 6-digit WNr., rather than the 5-digits reported. WNr. 13971 is most likely WNr. 130971. The other WNr. 13093 is more problematic. Losses for Stukas in the 1310xx/1311xx series started showing up in late 1943, but it could also be 13093x - with the missing digit in either of the last four positions.
Both these guys were RK recipients. It would be cool to be able to get a complete documented WNr., and of course the 'T6+_R' code, for one or both of them. Last edited by Jim P.; 26th July 2017 at 01:02. Reason: update |

Re: Ju 87 losses
My suggestion to 13093 is 130953, because 130955 and 130958 were also used by Schl.G 2. Several of 13093X were used by Schl.G 1. Its code was T6+BR.
13971 was T6+CD. Matti |

Re: Ju 87 losses
Did any five-digit WNr exist in the first place?

Re: Ju 87 losses
I have 30-40 losses for Stukas that begin 31xxx. These range from 31031 to 31712, and are scattered through dates from May-43 through early-45. The earliest of these losses would appear to occur too early for 131xxx WNr. while the later losses may or may not be missing the leading '1'. There are a very few other 5-digit losses starting with a '1' or a '2' but these appear to be due to typing errors.
The preceding statement is based on observation of Ju 87 losses only. I've never seen anything with any detail on Ju 87 production WNr. blocks. |

Re: Ju 87 losses
Thanks Jim
I find the WNr of the Ju 87 D very puzzling. No book I can think of has tried to tackle them properly. I guess no one here wants to do it either, so.... Cheers Stig |
