Do17P of 5.(F)/22 engaged 11 June 1940
Hi guys
Another of these June 1940 combats I'm endeavouring to sort out. On 11 June, Plt Off Jas Storrar of 145 Squadron claimed a He111 south of the Isle of Wight. The only possibility I can find is Do17P of 5.(F)/122 which returned to Amiens with StaKapt Bohm wounded. Is there a connection? Cheers Brian |

Re: Do17P of 5.(F)/22 engaged 11 June 1940
On 11 June 1940 a MS-406 flown by Sgt Antonin Zavoral (a Czech serving with DAT Chartres) claimed a Do 17 over Ablis (30 kms NE of Chartres). After he fired all of his ammo during four passes, he fired also from pistol (!)
It is possible it was a Do 17P of 5.(F)/22 damaged over Central France, Hptm. Böhm (StaKa) WiA. |

Hptm. Herbert Böhm, Staffelkapitän of 5(F)/122. (not 5(F)/22)
