Information concerning loss of Feldwebel Toni Gassner - fighter pilot killed 25.12.1944 - Luftwaffe and Allied Air Forces Discussion Forum

Hi,

Can anyone provide information on the loss of fighter pilot Feldwebel Toni Gassner who was killed in an air battle on the25th December 1944?

His death card said he was killed over Kaschau, Hungary.

Although only 24, he has already won the IK I and been wounded in action before.

1944-12-25, 1./JG 52, Bf 109 G-14, 512123, 14 weiße, 8 km südlich Kaschau (Košice) (Pl.Qu. 19355), Tschechoslowakei (Slowakei), Absturz infolge Bodenberührung. Bruch 100 %.
Flugzeugführer Fw Gaßner, Anton, +
Grab: Presov/Slowakische Republik, Block 3, Reihe 5, Grab 108.

Have discovered that he had 19 claims.

We're most of these on Eastern Front?

Sorry, but I have no info on Luftwaffe claims, only losses.
