912 Balloon Squadron

Good Afternoon,

I am trying to research the 912 Balloon squadron based a Brockworth in late 1940. Does anyone have any info? I am particulary interested in activity on the 21/10/40 but any info of about this time would be useful. I believe there is a war diary at the NA but it will be many months before I can get there to see for myself.

Re: 912 Balloon Squadron

My father served on balloons at Dover. He once told me how they had had three shot off his barge in one day. We could see these balloons from where we lived about 6-7 miles away and remember seeing the Germans having great sport shooting them down.
When I went to Simon Langton School in Canterbury we had a balloon site in the playground, the school had been badly damaged in the Baedeker raid the previous year and we were taught in patched up classrooms and wooden huts.

I would like to know which balloon squadrons were involved
