17th May 1942 UK RAF related event, Crash, Bombing, accidents

hello,

Seeking the event that perhaps resulted in the death of two WAAF in the UK on the 17th May 1942.

There may also be a connection with RAF Cosford.

Anyone know of any aircraft that may have crashed in the area, or any bombs droped or accidents that took place on or before that date ?

Names -
Corporal F.A. Cunliffe
ACW1 K. Gay

Many thanks for replies
Alex

Chris

Can you please tell me where this occured? Any chance it was Exeter ?

Note to self: Must Buy

The Luftwaffe Fighter Bombers Over Britain

Thanks

Paul
The reason is that the death of Kathleen Gay, age 21, is registered at Exeter in the 2nd Qtr 0f 1942, and that of a Frances A Cunliffe, aged 42, is registered at Wenlock (assumed Much Wedlock, Shopshire and to far for a Jabo attack?)

Afraid not without going to the CWGC site. I did not make a note of any casualties for this day in my researches but that is not to say there were or were not any. By the way, the AHB has a list of all WAAF casualties

It was from the AHB and I did not ask about where deaths occurred but the cards would say that
