Erwin Clausen, JG 11 Fw 190

Hi everyone,

I am looking for photo of Focke-Wulf of Maj. Erwin Clausen, from time when he led the I./JG 11.

I will be very grateful for any your suggestion where to find the photo.

Thanks and best regards to all,
Jan

Re: Erwin Clausen, JG 11 Fw 190

Hi

Just in case this can help, I only know two published photos:

Prien and Rodeike, Jagdgeschwader 1 und 11, Vol 1

pag.417, an almost useless one, but it is possible to see markings as the white tail band, and a typical 74/75/76 camouflage.

pag 472. The tail and rudder victory markings. I have seen it in other publications as well.

According to the text, it is the A-5/U12 Y W.Nr. 7358.

Perhaps the authors are going to surprise us with one or more new photos in the Jagdfliegerverbände 10/II...

Regards

Saludos

Gentlemen,

thank for your replies!

Miguel, please is possible to scan for me the photos in Prien and Rodeike, Jagdgeschwader 1 und 11, Vol 1.? Especially the pg. 417.

I have a photo of the tail (pg. 472), but perhaps the one in your book will be better.

I am gathering material for some profiles and because of the nice rudder I would like to add also the Clausen´s plane, but it seems to be impossible to reconstruct.

I appreciate if is possible to scan the photo and perhaps send me offboard (just for study, not printing or web posting)

Thanks again, Jan
