Goering's Technical Officer

I am wondering if anyone can tell me who Goering's technical officer was in September 1943. His actual title was "T.O. beim Reichsmarschall". I have seen this title on several period documents, but unfortunately the officer's name was not mentioned. If anyone can help, please e-mail me at feldpost@aol.com

Thanks!

Barry

Re: Goering's Technical Officer

To my knowledge: Siegfried Knemeyer, who had become famous before for having developed the Luftwaffes standard navigation computer (the so-called 'Schleuderscheibe')

Re: Goering's Technical Officer

According to Larry deZeng's Lw. officer career notes, it appears that Siegfried Knemeyer (Rk, DKG) is your man.

On 18 October 1943, as an Obstlt., he was appointed Techn. Offiz. beim Ob.d.L., a position he held apparently until March 1945. He died on 11 April 1979 in the U.S.
