Question Fate of following Luftwaffe pillots

Hi all!

I am searching a fate of following Luftwaffe pilots during WW II, who flew in SCW and got at least one claim.

-Ofw. Kurt Rochel
29.11.1937 Uffz. Kurt Rochel 2.J/88 I-16 1
20.1.1938 Uffz. Kurt Rochel 2.J/88 I-15 2
21.2.1938 Uffz. Kurt Rochel 2.J/88 I-16 3
10.3.1938 Uffz. Kurt Rochel 2.J/88 I-16 4
18.5.1938 Uffz. Kurt Rochel 2.J/88 I-16 5
10.6.1938 Uffz. Kurt Rochel 2.J/88 I-16 6

I found his only claim:
31.05.40, Ofw. Kurt Rochel, 5./ZG 26, Spitfire,  Dünkirchen

Did he survived in further battles?

-Fw. Norbert Flegel
17.8.1937 Fw. Norbert Flegel 2.J/88 I-16 1
329 18.8.1937 Fw. Norbert Flegel 2.J/88 I-15 2
22.8.1937 Fw. Norbert Flegel 2.J/88 I-16 3
330 30.9.1937 Fw. Norbert Flegel 2.J/88 I-15 4

No info found about his actions during WW II

-Dietrich von Bothmer
13.11.1936 Lt. Dietrich von Bothmer J/88 I-15 1
8.12.1936 Lt. Dietrich von Bothmer J/88 I-16 2

I found only 1 claim:

20.09.39, Oblt. Dietrich von Bothmer: 1, Stab/JGr. 152, Bloch,  W. Saarbrücken, 14.45

What was his further fate, after he left V.(Z)/LG 1?

- Uffz. Meyer Willi
2.6.1938 Uffz. Willi Meyer 2.J/88 SB-2 1
No info found about his actions during WW II

-Schulz Max
27.8.1937 Uffz. Max Schulz 2.J/88 I-15 1

No info found about his actions during WW II

-Ofw. Leo Sigmund
13.10.1937 Ofw. Leo Sigmund 1.J/88 I-15 1

No info found about his actions during WW II

-Ofw. Kurt Müller

17.1.1939 Ofw. Kurt Müller 3.J/88 I-16 1
21.1.1939 Ofw. Kurt Müller 3.J/88 I-15 2

Found his only claim:

15.09.39,Ofw. Kurt Müller: 1, 3./ZG 2, Lublin XIII,  W. Lemberg

Was he shot down during BoB, as another Kurt Müller (but in rank of Oblt. and pilot of 2./ZG 2)?

-Fw. Fleischmann
31.10.1938 Fw. Fleischmann 3.J/88 I-16 1
253 31.10.1938 Fw. Fleischmann 3.J/88 I-16 2
12.11.1938 Fw. Fleischmann 3.J/88 I-15 3

Was he the same person as Ofw. Georg Fleischmann of 3./ZG 76?
18.12.39, Ofw. Georg Fleischmann:, 3./ZG 76, Wellington,  N.W. Spiekerooge, 14.45
12.04.40, Ofw. Georg Fleischmann:, 3./ZG 76, Wellington,  bei Stavanger, 17.35

What was his further fate? Did he became NightJager?

Re: Fate of following Luftwaffe pillots

The following may be of interest

Kurt Rochel ZG26 POW 02.09.1940 additional Spanish War claims
18.5.1938 Uffz. Kurt Rochel 2.J/88 I-16
10.6.1938 Uffz. Kurt Rochel 2.J/88 I-16

There is a Dietrich Von Bothmer shown on the following site
http://www.dictionaryofarthistorians.org/bothmerd.htm don’t think it’s the same person

A Willi Meyer gets a mention on the following sites
http://www.luchtoorlog.be/ju88cd_f2.htm ;
http://www.campemoor.de/Geschichte/geschi_flug.html (in German)
http://www.axishistory.com/index.php?id=7886 shows a Willi Meyer with 12 claims
http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic.php?t=74 Unterscharfuhrer Willy Meyer
http://www.cieldegloire.com/zg_026.php 27.05.40 Hurricane
http://jpgleize.club.fr/aces/ww2ger.htm This site shows a Willi Meyer with 1 SCW claim and 10 WW2 claims with JG77

http://www.greystonesahs.org/web/j411 This site in part show the following “Following this meal, Goertz met another former internee, Luftwaffe officer George Fleischmann, in Dun Laoghaire's Royal Marine Hotel, where they spent the entire night discussing this offer and what it entailed with Fleischmann encouraging Goertz to accept it. Fleischmann was an Austrian who, along with two other Austrians, had been granted political asylum by de Valera following their request to remain in the country on the grounds that if returned to Austria they might be charged with treason because they had considered themselves Germans. But Goertz suspected that he was being double crossed and that he would be deported back to Germany and spent the next few days in the West of Ireland trying to calm down his nerves.”

Don't know if same Fleischmann as SCW

Still looking at other names

Kind regards
Ross

Re: Fate of following Luftwaffe pillots

Thx a lot!

About Rochel - yes, I missed 2 claims of him. Was he shot down by RAF fighters?

Quote:
Willi Meyer 12 claims
27.05.40, Ofw. Willi Meyer, 8./ZG 26, Hurricane, £ - 16.05

I think Meyer is a very common last name in Germany (as a Muller). Is he the same person with SCW pilot?
