The Hill (with Sean Connery)
IMHO one of the best movies ever made, I'm curious how other people regard this British classic. Also unforgivable that it hasn't been released on DVD yet.

Another one I totally agrre with Ruy. Sean's performance is superb, really gritty.
It's often a mark of the really great films that the mood is supressed, even underscored. Often today's movies are so into flash and gimmickry that actors don't get the chance to shine. And it is in the end the actor (IMO) that sets the mood for a movie. Especially a war movie. |
