Re: Feldpost L341935

Check that FPN. There's no such number, it has too many digits.
Quoting from the Kannapin FPN books, guessing at the number:

34193 – not a Luftwaffe number

34195 – (U) Stab u.Nachr. Zug Fstg. Flak-Rgt. 33, (3) Stab Fstg. Flak-Rgt. 33, (5) Rgt. Stab Flak-Rgt. 79, (9) 1.4.44 Flak-Rgt. Stab 79 (mot.), (10) 22.8.44 Flak-Sturm-Rgt. Stab 4 (mot).

where the indicated time periods are:
(U) at the time of mobilization to 01.01.40
(3) during 01.10 40 to 27.02.41
(5) during 30.07.41 to 28.02.42
(9) during 08.09.43 to 22.02.44
(10) during 23.04.44 to 24.11.44.

I hope this helps

Re: Feldpost L341935

Larry says that if it is not a typo, that it is then likely to be a mobilization number, which have 6 digits. Unfortunately, we do not have any reference to consult to find what that actually corresponds to.

Sorry.

Re: Feldpost L341935

Thanks. It is really strange because this came from Police Report and I have some doubts it is really Werknummer or Feldpostnummer.

NA Praha, fond Úřad říšského protektora, BdO Ia 1945, kart.č.50, Tagesmeldungen Februar 1945, inv.č. 228:

Flugzeugabsturz

16.2., 09.45 Uhr: Luftwaffenschulflugzeug ARADO MK Nr. 96-B-I, Werk-Nr. L34 1935 bei Kunowitz, Bez. Ung.-Hradisch aus 100 Höhe abgestürzt. Flugzeugführer Reichsdeustche Finken-Dey und Kontrolleur, Protektorats-Angehörige Korcak der Avia Werke schwer verletzt. Die Verletzten wurden in Krankenhaus Ung.-Hradisch überführt. Korcak inzwischen verstorben. Ursache unbekannt. Sicherheitspolizei Ung.-Hradisch Kenntnis.

POlice Reports written by Czech Gendarmerie were not so accurate (in Language and in Description as German ones). So there are lot of laps and "strange" parts to "decypher" them into "normal" language. I am not sure but I suppose that Arado Ar 96B-1 batch was not 341935, that´s why I suppose that L341935 could be Feldpostnummer. One possibiloity could be W.Nr. 1935 when L34 could be some kind of Taktical- or Versuschsnummer.
