II/JG53 Sicily July 1942
Hi guys
According to the diary of a pilot of I/JG77, a Bf109 from II/JG53 was reported missing from a sortie over Malta on 6 July 1942. I can't seem to find anything about this loss. Any ideas? Cheers Brian

Nothing listed for 6th July in "Geschwaderstab and II./JG53 Losses during Operations from Sicily May to October 1942". Nearest loss appears to be a 4th Staffel Bf109F-4, WNr.7412 coded "White 5" in "Air combat, Malta 30%" on the 7th July 1942.
