Spitfire MK914

Hello all ,
On september 17 1944 Spitfire MK-914 from 411 Sqdn made a crashlanding on the airfield of Schaffen near the town of Diest in Belgium. The pilot raised the U/C to stop the aircraft. Who was the pilot and what happened with him ?
