There was no "Prince Maximciuc" in the Royal Rumanian Air Force.

A young lad of 17 called Geoff Painting flew Spitfires in the RAF in WW2 . . .he was lost in 1941 when attacking shipping near, I think, a French coastal port. He lied about his age to join up, and is missing to this day.
