The trim tab on the rudder is rather interesting. I've noticed this on other machines, so, whether it's a field/factory modification...remains up to the experts.

Re: Me 262 but which one?

Olivier and Steve,

This is a 500000-werknummerseries aircraft as indicated by its camouflage (overall 82 with 81 mottles both over natural metal) and styl of national markings. It could have come from the 5002XX of 5005XX subgroups and my hunch is the latter. The werknummer itself is located on the fin very close to its leading edge and just above the top of the stabizer.

If the location was known this might assist in furher refining its possible identity. Nevrtheless, a very nce image - thanks for sharing Olivier!

Cheers,

David

the trim tab is coming towards the viewer which gives the illusion of being larger then usual.

It's not.... take another look. In the meantime, I'll go through a couple of books and point out others.
