Fledgling Eagles
Hello,
This has probably been sorted out long ago, but I came accross the following in Fledgling Eagles yesterday. Page 116 With regard to the 3rd and 4th paras. 3rd Two 1 Staffel Messerschmitts force landed. Lt Heinz Schultz coming down in a field near Puttelange in "White 11" (WNr 1251), whileFw Karl Hier brought "White 14"( WNr 1304) down near Goesdorf, both pilots becoming prisoners. Then 4th Meanwhile Ofw Herfried Kloimúller had become disoriented and landed his Bf109E "White 1" (1304) on the French airfield at Strasbourg-Neuhof,wher he was made prisoner. Both Hier's and Kloimúller's Bf109's are given the same Werke Number ?? So if it is accepted that Hier's a/c was WNr 1304 then what was the WNr of Kloimúller's ? Many thanks Alex |

Re: Fledgling Eagles
hello Laurent,
Thank you for your reply. Sorry to have been so long in responce. Can you please help with W Nr 1980 who's rudder was later reportedly used as a replacement on the captured 109 in the UK. Thank you Alex |
