B3+DP & B3?N of KG 54 down Sep 10/11th 1940

Hi all,

Radtke states in his book the following:
- Sep 10 or 11th 1940 : FF Lt Fischer Ju 88 A-1 WNr 4116 B3+DP down at St Andre
- Sep 11th 1940 : FF Oblt John Ju 88 A-1 WNr 3093 B3+?N down in the Vogesen

Winston Ramsey in BoB-T&N states the following:
- Sep 10th 1940 : FF Lt Fischer Ju 88 A-1 WNr 3093 B3+?? down at St Andre
- Sep 10th 1940 : FF Oblt John Ju 88 A-1 WNr 4146 B3+DP down at ???

Does anybody knows who was flying which aircraft? What was the correct WNr & aircraft code & where did they come down?
Does any pictures exist of either crashes?

Thanks in advance,
Rudi.

Original BA-MA: Ge.Qu. 6.Abt. Verbandes loss lists have these as Ju 88 A-1 4146 B3+BP (unk location, Lt. John) but amended to ´Climont/Yogesen´ 10.09.40 and Ju 88 A-1 3093 (no code given, Lt. Fisher) down at St. André Airfield 10.09.40

Perhaps the NVM give different (I do not have these).

Thanks for this info Ed. Very much appreciated.

I presume you mean B3+DP in stead of B3+BP???

Kind regards,
Rudi.

Rudi,

The problem with these losses is that they were during the night of 10/11 September, 1940, but I have been unable to establish at exactly what time. Currently I have them both listed on September 10 as follows:

5./KG54 Junkers Ju88A-1 (3093). Crashed and burned out at St-André-de-l'Eure following night sortie to London, cause unknown. FF Lt Wilhelm Fischer and BS Gefr Friedrich Kuhn both killed, two crewmen believed baled out unhurt. Aircraft 100% write-off.

6./KG54 Junkers Ju88A-1 (4146). Crashed near Climont, north-east of St Dié, during night sortie to London, cause unknown. FF Oberlt Karl John, BO Uffz Siegfried Schauer, BS Uffz Gustav Flamm, and BF Gefr Hans Weiler all killed. Aircraft B3+DP 100% write-off.
