P-51's on 2 March 1945 near Prague

Hello,

on March 2 1945 Lt Eugene Paulson, David Reichmann, Charles Price,Lt. C.C Pattilo and Col. William Jackson dove onto an airfield near Prague and damaged six planes during a strafing run. They unit 486th Fighter Squadron

My questions are:
- which airfield was attacked - Prague Ruzin or Prague-Kbely?
- which German air unit reported aircraft damage after the sortie?
- damaged german aircaft?

It was definitely the Prague/Ruzyne (Rusin in German) airdrome, located west of Prague. Peter Kassak wrote a book on aerial operations on that day.

thanks for the answer. I have one more question did allied strafing Prague-Kbely airfield spring of 1945?
My grandfather Kálmán Garai stationed there on training from first days of February to 15 March 1945. He was a pilot in 5/1. (101.) Night Fighter Squadron -Second Gruppe.
He told that above mentioned time few "flieger-alarm" (stopped the flying) disturbed the pilot training period (enemy strafing in Prague area). But exactly he did not tell the date.

On April 20th, 1945 the several flights of 355th FG Mustangs lured ~ 10-12 Me 109s from Kbely area airfields and shot 5 or six of them. There was no strafing however.

The Prague-Kbely A/D was strafed several times on April 16, 1945 (by 4th, 78th, 339th and 368th FG) but, of course, air alarm went off on other dates as well:-)

Hello

I enclosed one picture, airport building in Prague-Kbely. This accomodition building used the 5/1 (101) Night Fighter squadron second group. There were trainig classes, sleeping-quarters.
Two more buildings belongs for NJG102 night fighter's.
The buildings on Mladoboleslavská street, front of the Kbely airmuseum.
