Re: Bookshops in London?

Get on the train from Charing Cross/London Bridge or Waterloo East to Tunbridge Wells. Little over three quarters of an hour. Get off at Tunbridge Wells. Just across from the station (two minute walk) you will find The Aviation Bookshop.

It will be worth the short journey from London!

You could also take the tube to Archway station, cross the road facing you as you come out of the station, and head down Holloway Road for approximately ten minutes walk, to number 656, on your left hand side, where you'll find The Aviation Bookshop. I was there some years back on a couple of occasions and found it very worthwhile to visit.

This link www.londononline.co.uk/profiles/161416/ will give you the address, and there is a facility to view a map. The map doesn't seem to illustrate the exact location, but you will see Holloway Road in green, so just head down along it.

Regards...

Paul
Times have changed. The Aviation Bookshop moved to Tunbridge Wells since your visit! (see post 2 from Andy Saunders)

Re: Bookshops in London?

Hi, Bruce...

Thanks for updating me... ! I've deleted my earlier post to avoid any confusion. I wasn't sure when I saw Andy's earlier posting in relation to Tunbridge Wells. When I checked online, I still got the old address, so took it to be a case of two unrelated outlets with the same name, in different locations. So, next time, it's a trip to TW for me... .

Thanks again...

Paul
