Bf 109E, 'Mors-Mors'

Does anyone know which Luftwaffe unit this particular Emil, displaying the words 'Mors-Mors' and a shadowy black figure, belonged to?

Re: Bf 109E, 'Mors-Mors'

Hello Dénes,
I have seen it on a LG 2 Bf 109 E "White 2+" probably taken in France 1940.

Re: Bf 109E, 'Mors-Mors'

Hello Dénes & Goran,

I have seen something like that.... I trying to check.
But in the mean time you have another "Mors-Mors" 6-107, Bf109E-3, 2./JGr.88 Légion Condor. Same Pilot?

Be patient, may be I have the one you want may be not!!!

Hi again,

Goran is right. see here: http://www.messerschmitt-bf109.de/di...otonummer=5856

I have another picture from ebay. if you want it PM me. But doesn't help a lot concerning the emblem and I think the picture you posted is an extract of the one I have.

Cheers,
Franck.

Denes,

This is White 2, W.Nr.1962, of 1.(J)/LG2 taken during the FC. According to a 20.3.40 unit roster, this was the a/c of Uffz Fridolin Volkmer.

Regards,

Re: Bf 109E, 'Mors-Mors'

Thanks, guys.

Franck, I cannot open the link you posted (I need to register first?).
"I think the picture you posted is an extract of the one I have." Can you post yours? Mine is an original photo.

Larry, thanks for the detailed info. So, it looks like the slogan (BTW, I've learned in the meantime that it means: 'Lick my ass' ) and the emblem were a personal one?

Re: Bf 109E, 'Mors-Mors'

I have a saved copy of a photo showing that the emblem was on both sides of the cowl.
