DO 17 z2 wk 3433

I'm searching about datas for one Do 17 z2 :
wk 3433 U5+AT from 9./KG2
Given for crashed in Arnay le Duc Burgundy (30 km from Beaune) circa 19/20 november 1940 ,
In Bama loss (19/11/40) we know the crew bail out:
Fw Heinrich Albach/Ltn Werner Kersten/Uffz Theodor Schulz/Uffz Herman Heying.

So who know his story, what's happened, who claim it ?

Thanks by advance,
Bsrg, Dan

Re: DO 17 z2 wk 3433

I wonder if it was necessary to bother the ground-crews with folding of the chutes..

Hi Dan,

nice imagine, but in my opinion, this Do 17 doesn´t look like crew bailed out . To me its look like pilot belly landed with maschine (look at the propelers) and maybe rest of crew bailed out.

Re: DO 17 z2 wk 3433

Hi Dan,

this Do 17 is from KG76 and it crash-landed by Rouen in June 1940 (source: at least 5 other photos of this bomber).

Regards

Robert
