I think it is HV315 KC-H of 238 Squadron.

Whilst not wishing to contradict JohnE, isn't the aircraft individual code letter under the cockpit rounded, such as C, G, O, and not an "H"?

Re: help in identifying this hurricane and pilot

If Africa, and presumed code is incorrect, could it be 213 RAF sqdn??
They flew across the Med to stalk the Luftwaffe along the coastal areas.
For that they flew with the drop tanks.

Re: help in identifying this hurricane and pilot

Hi
The photo is quite interesting, i can't recall having seen the set up before, except on typhoons.

The two inboard cannon seem to have been removed, and replaced with cameras ?
possibly a field mod for a Tac Recce squadron ?

Could be a very rare photo.

cheers
Jerry

extra info..
just browsed the 'profile pub' on the huricane, seems some med based sqn's removed one set of cannon for performance.

Re: help in identifying this hurricane and pilot

Could even be 94 sqdn - GO sqdn code fits, as does only two cannons (performance improvement) and L/R tanks.
