Nachtjagdstaffel/KG40, Bordeaux-after info..

I understand that KG40 had a night fighter section based at Bordeaux.

Is it known if this unit was involved in operations countering raids on U boat bases in St Nazaire/Lorient etc.

Are there any details of operations on 22nd March 1943 (St Nazaire raid by RAF).

Are there any pictures of aircraft attached to this unit.

Thanks Chris, I know of a local source of the book so will follow it up.

I'm not sure if this is of interest or already known to you but 'Princes of Darkness' by Claire Rose Knott states on page 74 that 4/NJG5 had a presence at Rennes in France in March/April 1943 to help support the defence of U boat bases. I'm looking for info on Ju88 night fighters in this region at that time so will follow this up as well. A photo of one of these (and an "NJ-Staffel/KG40" a/c with radar aerials) is in Aders 'History of the Night Fighter Force'.
