Luftwaffe special weapons

This site shows weapons that were used operationally and those that were fitted for trials. A few I've not seen before.

Re: Luftwaffe special weapons

Hi!

There are some "big guns" and special guns, that I saw before, but there is something that I have never seen before, and I do not know any information about this weapon. The -Gerät 104 'Münchhausen -. I would appreciate any infos about this weapon, and the description how it was in action.

Thanks: -RvB-

Re: Luftwaffe special weapons

There is a brief description, some statistics as to size and performance and a cutaway of the internal position of the shell and counterweight(?) in Geheimprojekte der Luftwaffe Band III, Schlachtflugzeuge und Kampfzerstorer 1935-1945, page 264, by Dieter Herwig and Heinz Rode. I know there is an English language edition but I do not have it.

The guns and their ammunition are described (and some of them illustrated) in 'Flying Guns – World War 2: Development of Aircraft Guns, Ammunition and Installations 1933-45': details on my website
