A list of the losses of JG 52 is available on the Net: http://www.denkmalprojekt.org/Verlus..._vl_chrono.htm

For 1943, JG 52 lost:
55 KIA
9 KIFA
4 POW
52 MIA
so at least 120 lost pilots
But they were also
1 interned in Turkey
2 "MIA" who returned later to the unit
49 WIA
3 WIFA
At least some of them were also probably "lost", at least never flew again.

H.Ring/W.Girbig – “Jagdgeschwader 27”, p. 339-362; JG 27 losses in 1943:

Stab/ JG 27

WIA – 1

I./ JG 27

KIA – 18, MIA – 1, WIA – 16 / total 35
including
Hpt. Heinrich Setz, Gruppenkommandeur, KIA 13.03.43 (138 vic)
Hpt. Erich Hohagen, Gruppenkommandeur, WIA 1.06.43
Oblt. Karl von Lieres und Wilkau, Staffelkapitän 3./ JG 27, KIA 11.06.43 (31 vic)
Hpt. Hans Remmer, Staffelkapitän 1./ JG 27, WIA 2.11.43

II./ JG 27

KIA – 23, MIA – 25 (+1 came back), POW – 2, WIA – 24 / total 74
incl.
Oblt. Rudolf Sinner, Staffelkapitän 6./ JG 27, WIA 24.03.43
Hpt. Ferdinand Vögl, Staffelkapitän 4./ JG 27, WIA 19.04.43
Hpt. Ernst Börngen, Staffelkapitän 5./ JG 27, WIA 16.07.43
Oblt. Hebert Schramm, Staffelkapitän 5./ JG 27, KIA 1.12.43 (43 vic)

III./ JG 27

KIA – 18, MIA – 7, POW – 1 (+1 came back), WIA – 11 / total 37
incl.
Oblt. Wolf Ettel, Staffelkapitän 8./ JG 27, KIA 17.07.43 (124 vic)
Oblt. Günther Hannack, Staffelkapitän 7./ JG 27, POW 5.03.43 (47 vic)

IV./ JG 27

KIA – 18, MIA – 9, POW – 1, WIA – 6 / total 34
incl.
Hpt. Joachim Kirschner, Gruppenkommandeur, KIA 17.12.43 (188 vic)

TOTAL losses of JG 27 in 1943:

KIA – 77, MIA – 42 (+1), POW – 4 (+1), WIA – 58 / 181 pilots

But this was only prelude – losses in 1944 were horrible...

JG-77 181 lost pilots versus 175 lost pilots of JG-52, very close figures.
